Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool Teams Up With Wonder Woman for Holiday Cheer at SickKids

Ryan Reynolds has once again donned his now-iconic ugly holiday sweater, and this time, he’s not alone. The actor, as his alter ego Deadpool, teamed up with Lynda Carter reprising her role as Wonder Woman and a mini-me Kidpool to spread festive cheer for Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). The humorous campaign video shows the trio attempting to “eliminate sick kids,” only for a comedic wardrobe malfunction to leave Carter in a massive Christmas sweater instead of her usual superhero gear—a hiccup Reynolds cheekily blames on “the comic company’s lawyers.”

This marks the sixth year Reynolds has championed this cause, turning what began as a playful joke into a powerhouse fundraiser. The campaign, which debuted in 2018 after Reynolds was tricked into wearing an ugly sweater by pals Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal, has since raised over $3 million for SickKids. Each year, Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively match donations, this time pledging to match up to $500,000 through Christmas Eve.

With its perfect mix of humor, holiday spirit, and star power, the campaign has become a holiday tradition that’s not just festive—it’s transformative for the kids and families who rely on SickKids.
