In 2013, Stuart Duncan, a single father from Timmins, Canada, recognized the challenges autistic children face in online gaming communities, including bullying and social isolation.
Motivated by his own experiences as an autistic individual and father to an autistic son, Duncan created “Autcraft,” a dedicated Minecraft server offering a safe and supportive environment for children with autism.
To fully commit to this initiative, he left his job as a web developer and now manages the server full-time.
Autcraft enforces strict rules against bullying, griefing, and stealing, fostering a positive space where players can build, explore, and form friendships without fear of discrimination.
As of January 2025, the server has welcomed over 18,000 unique players, providing a vital community for those seeking understanding and connection.
