One and a half million volunteers planted a record-shattering 66 million trees in India, breaking their previous world record of 49.3 million saplings planted in 24 hours.⠀

The campaign took place along the Narmada River in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh and it’s an incredible example of what people can accomplish together.⠀

As part of the Paris Climate Change Conference, India vowed to increase their forest coverage to just over 95 million hectares by 2030.
