Pawternity leave for employees

Pets need time to settle into their new home and bond with their owners.
As it turns out, some companies sympathize with this transition and offer what’s known as “pawternity leave.”

“Pawternity leave” – or giving employees time off to care for new pets – is starting to be recognized by more companies.

Some employers offer their workers anywhere from a day to 2 weeks (if employees adopt an animal from a shelter) of paid leave to welcome a new furry friend into the family.

Some companies also give employees paid bereavement time for the loss of a beloved pet.
