The state legislature passed a bill to make the sale of animal-tested cosmetics illegal within the state after 2020.

Plenty of beauty brands worldwide are already 100% cruelty-free but this ban will give beauty brands across the USA a big reason to stop animal testing.
The products will include makeup, skincare, shampoos, deodorants, and other personal hygiene products. Not only will the product have to be cruelty-free, but each individual ingredients must be free from testing too.

Other countries with the ban include Israel, India, Norway and the EU.
