What do you do with leftover bread?
Make beer!

Every year most countries throw away enough bread to feed millions of people (in the UK alone, 44 percent of all bread is wasted). So one independent food shop in Vienna and a Toast Ale in London decided to use stale bread to make their own beer.
They take surplus bread from bakeries and sandwich makers, and they replace a third of the barley that would otherwise have been used to brew.
By doing that they achieve 2 goals: fight food waste and raise awareness about food waste.

So if you’re in Vienna have a sip of WASTED and in London look for the “TOAST brewed with bread” products.
