Professional surfer Josh Kerr has partnered with Spanish energy company Acciona to create surfboards made from decommissioned wind turbine blades. This innovative collaboration has produced ten prototype boards, showcasing a unique approach to sustainability by repurposing materials from renewable energy infrastructure.  

The project highlights the potential of recycling in both the renewable energy and sports industries, demonstrating how materials from wind turbines can find new life in surfboard manufacturing. By transforming these blades into high-performance boards, Kerr and Acciona aim to raise awareness about environmental responsibility and inspire others to explore creative solutions for repurposing waste materials.
